As we get closer to Independence Day, I feel it's important to recognize those who make our freedom possible. So many times we ignore their sacrifice and take for granted what they do. All we see is a uniform and a soundbite on the news. Understand, that inside those uniforms are sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers and mothers. They matter. We owe a great deal to the people who sacrifice their lives to ensure our safety. Whether or not you agree with their missions, respect the fact that they are faithful enough to serve and have the courage to fulfill their duty. When you see a serviceman or servicewoman, say THANK YOU. Offer them the courtesy of a smile and let them know how much we appreciate them. A smile costs nothing and means everything. God Bless.
